Drosophila MicroRNAs Service

Drosophila microRNAs (miRNAs), a class of small endogenous non-coding RNA of 20-24 bp in length, are important post-transcriptional regulatory elements involved in almost all life processes in Drosophila, including tissue growth, germ cell development, hormone regulation, immunity, drug resistance and nervous system regulation. Drosophila was the first insect species in which miRNAs were discovered, and approximately 10% of genes are regulated by miRNAs. Due to the high conservation of miRNAs across species, Drosophila has become an important tool for studying miRNA biogenesis and function.

CD BioSciences provides high-quality design, development and validation of integrated services for the study of Drosophila (or other insect) miRNA genesis and function to advance basic research and drug discovery. We leverage our achievements in Drosophila research to provide solutions for miRNA researches in other agricultural pests and resource insects such as Tribolium castaneum, silkworm and etc. We are committed to helping our clients save time and effort.
