Drosophila Growth Phenotypes Assay

Growth refers to both the growth of cells and tissues as well as the differentiation and functional refinement of cells. Drosophila has become a popular model system for studying biological growth. Using the Drosophila model, many factors have been found to influence life trajectories, such as nutritional intake, oxidative stress, sleep, etc. Drosophila being a fully metamorphic developing insect, accurate identification and quantification of growth and developmental phenotypes is crucial for the outcome and analysis of the entire experiment.
